The location for our 2012 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards has changed. The awards will be presented Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel, 1 Dock Street (2 & Walnut Sts), Philadelphia, PA 19106. Cocktails at 6:00pm, the dinner and awards will start at 7:00pm.

PHILADELPHIA (May 21, 2008) – Pioneering broadcast journalist Edie Huggins, who began her television career at WCAU-TV (now NBC10) in 1966 as a feature reporter on the BIG NEWS TEAM WITH JOHN FACENDA and became one of Philadelphia’s most respected and popular television personalities during her 42-year career, will receive the prestigious Board of Governors’ Award from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). NATAS Mid-Atlantic received over 700 entries for the 2008 Mid-Atlantic EMMY Awards. Entries are being sorted and prepared for shipping across the country for judging. Judging will take place through July. The accountants at Lutz & Travers, LLC. will receive and talley the results to be announced at the Nomination Parties in August. YOUNG PRODUCERS AWARD: Robert Greenberg, a senior at Harriton High School in Rosemont, PA, is the 2008 winner of the Young Producer’s Award scholarship competition of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Academy (NATAS). Greenberg will receive a $2500 scholarship check from NATAS. Jessica Do, of North Penn High School, is the runner-up. Jessica receives $500. For the full release, click here.
NATIONAL STUDENT TELEVISION: Congratulations to our regional NSTV winners. We had seven regional winners and 11 honorable mention awards. A special congratulations to the Milton Hershey School for the National win. We also send a special thank you to Kim Newell at CITV at Plymouth Whitemarsh H.S. for her dedication and time spent in planning the student seminar held May 2.
