2012 Young Producer's Award

The 2012 Young Producer's Award will be held in conjuction with our Student Television competition. A $1000 prize will be awarded to the winner of our PSA category. All entries and judging will be done online through SchoolTube. Entry information will be available in mid-January while entries will be due March 19.

2011 Young Producer's Award

Congratulations to the 2011 Young Producer's Award winner Ameer Carter from Harriton High School and Michelle Davies of North Penn High School. Both students produced PSA's on the topic "Going Green". Click here for the full release on this year's winners. The winning student will receive $1500 scholarship toward their college expenses. The runner up will receive $500. Checks will be presented at the school's annual awards ceremonies.

2010 Young Producer's Award

Congratulations to our 2010 YPA Winners:

The 2009 Young Producer's Award-Topic was "Giving Back”. The first place winner received a scholarship prize and got  to work with TV professionals to produce it. To see the winning PSA, click here and scroll down to the Young Producer's PSA.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

The Young Producer's Award is an established scholarship program, now in its twelfth year, sporsored by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Mid-Atlantic Chapter. The winner will receive a $2000 scholarship and have the opportunity to work closely with television professionals to fine tune his/her PSA.  Also the winning PSA will be submitted for air on area webstations and on area school channels.  The First Runner Up will see his/her PSA on display on area School channel websites and will be recognized  at his/her Senior Awards Ceremony. 

HOW DOES THE COMPETITION WORK?

Entrants must PRODUCE a 25-second TV public service announcement on the Topic: Choices!  See above for entry forms, contest details and content guidelines.
